Abstract

This paper introduces an internationally accredited Child Coaching Curriculum Framework integrating Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), coaching psychology, communication sciences, emotional development strategies, and competency-based educational methodologies. The curriculum was conceptually and methodologically developed by Prof. Reza Omraie within the framework of the International Association of Coaching Institutes (ICI) and implemented through the Academy of NLP & Coaching Prof. Omraie

The program consists of 120 hours of professional training delivered over a minimum of 15 days and includes supervised mentoring, practical coaching sessions, behavioral assessments, and applied NLP interventions designed specifically for child development contexts. The curriculum addresses emotional balance, communication skills, learning enhancement, self-image improvement, concentration difficulties, limiting beliefs, behavioral flexibility, parental support systems, and fear/aggression management in children.

The framework combines NLP-based techniques such as anchoring, submodality transformation, reframing, modeling, Swish patterns, belief change interventions, and state management with developmental psychology and coaching methodologies. The curriculum adopts a competency-based educational model emphasizing experiential learning, behavioral transformation, emotional intelligence, and child-centered communication.

This paper presents the theoretical foundation, curriculum architecture, educational methodology, applied intervention systems, developmental objectives, and international relevance of the model. The proposed framework contributes to the emerging interdisciplinary field of child coaching and offers a structured educational system adaptable to coaching institutes, educational organizations, developmental programs, and family-support environments worldwide.

1. Introduction

The increasing psychological, educational, emotional, and social challenges affecting children in modern societies have created a growing need for integrative developmental support systems extending beyond traditional educational frameworks. Contemporary children frequently encounter emotional dysregulation, attention difficulties, anxiety-related behaviors, low self-confidence, communication challenges, social isolation, learning barriers, and identity confusion within rapidly changing social environments.

Conventional educational systems often emphasize cognitive performance while inadequately addressing emotional intelligence, communication competence, behavioral flexibility, and self-regulation skills. Consequently, interdisciplinary approaches integrating psychology, coaching methodologies, communication sciences, and developmental learning systems have gained increasing importance.

Child coaching has emerged as a specialized developmental field focusing on empowering children through supportive communication, emotional guidance, behavioral flexibility, and strengths-based learning approaches. Within this context, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) provides a highly applicable framework for understanding subjective experience, communication patterns, emotional states, belief systems, and behavioral change processes.

Although NLP has been extensively utilized in psychotherapy, leadership development, communication training, and adult coaching, relatively few internationally structured competency-based curricula have focused specifically on the application of NLP principles within child coaching education.

This paper introduces the “Children Coaching Course, ICI,” an internationally accredited curriculum framework developed by Prof. Reza Omraie under the International Association of Coaching Institutes (ICI). The curriculum integrates NLP methodologies, coaching psychology, educational communication systems, emotional intelligence development, and family-centered support structures into a comprehensive competency-based training model.

2. Theoretical Foundation

2.1 Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), initially developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, examines the relationships between neurological processes, language systems, subjective experience, and behavioral patterns. NLP proposes that internal representations significantly influence emotional states, communication behaviors, learning processes, and personal development

:Within child coaching contexts, NLP provides practical tools for

emotional regulation

communication enhancement

belief transformation

sensory awareness

motivation

behavioral flexibility

and self-confidence development

:The curriculum incorporates multiple NLP intervention systems, including

Anchoring

Submodalities

Reframing

Swish patterns

Modeling

State management

Sensory acuity

Meta-communication

Goal formation systems

and auditory belief change processes

These methods are adapted developmentally to align with children’s emotional and cognitive capacities

2.2 Coaching Psychology

The curriculum is informed by contemporary coaching psychology emphasizing:

strengths-based development,

solution-oriented communication,

empowerment,

resilience,

self-efficacy,

emotional awareness,

and behavioral adaptability.

Rather than focusing solely on pathology or behavioral correction, the coaching model encourages constructive developmental growth through supportive communication systems and experiential learning processes.

2.3 Developmental and Educational Psychology

The framework integrates principles from developmental psychology and educational sciences emphasizing:

emotional safety,

experiential learning,

role modeling,

cognitive-emotional integration,

parent-child interaction systems,
